How To Be a Free Spirit

By: Nicu Castravet

1. Develop a burning desire to become a free spirit!

“Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything.”
-Napoleon Hill

2. Understand what it means to be free.

“Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.”
-Buddha

3. Let go of whatever is holding you back, and outwit your fears.

Napoleon Hill correctly said that, fears are nothing more than a state of mind.

“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.”
-Joseph Campbell

4. Live in the moment. You are here now.

Buddha said it well, “The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, or worry about the future, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.”

5. “To thy own self be true.”

Shakespeare never wrote anything more beautiful than that.

6. Become the master of yourself.

“No man is free who is not master of himself.”
-Epictetus

“Calmness is the rarest quality in a human being.”
-Earl Nightingale

“Anybody can become angry – that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way – that is not within everybody’s power and is not easy.”
-Aristotle

7. Honour other people’s freedom.

“Our prime purpose in life is to help others. And if you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them.”
-Dalai Lama

8. Keep your ego in check.

“Ego says, “Once everything falls into place, I’ll feel peace.”
Spirit says, “Find your peace and then everything will fall into place.”
-Marianne Williamson

9. Pursue your passions.

“You have to be burning with an idea, or problem, or a wrong that you want right.
If you’re not passionate enough from the start, you’ll never stick it out.”
-Steve Jobs
“Freedom means you are unobstructed in living your life as you choose.
Anything less is a form of slavery.”
– Wayne Dyer

YOU CAN DO IT! IT HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE!
